The artists coming to the region pushed images into personal expression. The time was the roaring 1920&#8217;s and Halloween parties were all the rage with themes such as &#8220;Animals&#8221; or &#8220;Famous People&#8221; with an art deco flare. Halloween in the 1930&#8217;s was celebrated more by adults than their children. Costumes were outlandish, and the parties would last all night. Many had lavish parties costing a small fortune.<\/p>\n<p>In celebration of the Fall of Modernism, The New Mexico Museum of Art invites you to party Modernist Style. Come in costume and dance to the music of Big Swing Theory.
